Question P-TRAP on kitchen sink ???

I have a Rockwood Freedom (small small pop up). I am changing the freshwater tank to a gray water tank for the kitchen sink only. Do I need a P-trap????

Yes unless you want smelly air coming out of the drain. You will also need some sort of vent preferably above the windows. How do you plan to drain it?

There is a p-trap now that is on the outside wall behind the sink. I was told that sometimes campgrounds will not let you empty your gray water on the ground so I was going to run the sink drain to the fresh water tank and then run a 1 1/4" tube to the exterior. There is not a vent now.

Most people use a 5 gallon bucket next to the PUP and run the sink drain to it. When it fills up you can just dump in the campground sink. Simple solution and will preserve the resale value of the PUP when you decide to upgrade.

Walmart may have it or you can pick it up at campworld.
