Pulling in with our new Rockwood Sig 8324SB

Hi,

We're not new to the RV-ing, but we did just pick up our new Rockwood 8324SB and couldn't be more excited to spend more time in it. Looking forward to good advice and good conversations here.

Congrats on the new rig! We just finished a two week 1500 mile (round trip) outing with it, taking it to northern Vermont and then staying near Ocean City Maryland. We didn't really have any issues with the camper itself. All the systems performed as expected. Actually, the AC units performed above expectations. We were in direct, full-day sunlight in mid 90's temps and we didn't have a problem keeping temps inside comfortable. We have 15 kBTU in the front and 13.5 in the rear bedroom.

Our TV is a '17 Ram 3500 DRW that's a hold-over from towing our previous 5th wheel. Definitely more truck than needed, but something to be said for being paid for. Plus, pickings are slim for a replacement.

Good luck and have fun with the new camper!

Not sure about the btu's but we have 2 units also and the one in the bedroom also makes heat. We just spent 2 weeks at Myrtle Beach, SC. it was very hot but the ac worked great. But the fridge never got cold so that was a setback. Its at camping world now for repairs. We paid $46,500.00 including the fees. I am not sure how we did on the price, but we loved the floor plan so much. Another issue I'm concerned with is the small amount of exterior storage. Can you share any storage ideas you have?

We paid similar which ended up being about 25-26% off MSRP. The dealer we purchased from is listing that model now with a discount of ~15%, so we timed it right.

Yeah, storage is a bit limited. I added a couple SaniCon storage boxes under my unit to store water fittings, black water connectors, etc. Went with the 19" boxes; https://www.thetford.com/product/san...bo-storage-box
It's still a work in progress and I'll continue to look for additional solutions.
