Questions for Georgetown Owners

Hi! We are Ricky and Wendy Prevatte from Charlotte NC, hoping to become FR Georgetown 378TS owners within the next few days. We have heard far more horror stories about the Forest River brand around campfires than any other. We don't mean to be insulting, and everything that we've seen seems above board. We don't get any good quality reports on our brand (Fleetwood Bounder). We are told by Camping World that the Georgetown is the #2 selling motorhome in America. I (Ricky) am totally blind with a nine year old. My wife drives and I cannot afford to make a mistake with this purchase. My motorhome is old - but very, very reliable. Never had a microwave to fall out of the wall, no leaks, and never caught fire. These are some of the things I have heard. How is their warranty. Has anyone else been in a similar situation - trading an older model RV for a newer Forest River Georgetown. What are your thoughts and experiences? Basically, would you recommend this to a friend?

Thanks so much for your input!

We bought a new 2011 there were some issues but all taken care of. I would buy again. If you have specific questions I am sure someone would be glad to help. There are so many moving parts you will have problems expect them going in and it will be easier to deal with them. Good Luck!

All brands basically use the same components [frig, microwave ect.] I own a 2011 378 which has been very good construction wise. The company backing of my unit has been far superior to any of the other brands I have owned and I have owned 4 other brands through the years.
