Ready to GO!

We just put the deposit down on a new-to-us 2021 Alpha Wolf 26DBH. Picking it up next week! This is the culmination of a LOOOOONG process starting with my husband and I saying "wouldn't it be nice to have an RV?" several years ago. I researched like crazy, we rented a couple of drivables, decided we wanted a towable until I am able to fully retire, did more research, went to an RV show, then had the exact model we were looking for show up used five miles away. It was meant to be!

I work full time so we are going to be weekend warriors for the time being.
My husband and I have an adult disabled son who is always ready for adventure, and will always be with us, an 85 year old still-agile mother who is looking forward to joining us occasionally, and a 20 year old daughter who also may join us occasionally. Hence the need for the bunkhouse. I plan to buy a double sized foam mattress to use on the dining table-bed for Mom, so it's more comfy than the cushions, and the kids can have the bunks. I have two weekend getaways planned already, both to state parks here in Florida. The plan is to do Florida, Georgia, Alabama, maybe venture up to the Carolinas or Tennessee for a longer trip. Who knows?

We are as empty-nest as we are going to get, and I am ready to get out there and enjoy life while we all are healthy and able. We have very little desire to cruise anymore, especially with masks. We're not into big cities, and we can hit the beach anytime, it's five miles away. So we are ready to enjoy the great outdoors and see our beautiful amazing country.

If anyone has any links on ideas to customize-upgrade your travel trailer, I would love to see them. We are definitely planning on doing some DIY with it and making it ours.

Thanks for the welcome!

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your up coming purchase of a 2021 Alpha Wolf 26DBH. Make sure to do a good PDI when picking up camper. The PDI forum guide can be found by going to the green header bar above and click on Library then look for PDI (pre delivery Inspection). Good luck. Later RJD

Thank you, that's exactly the type of information I am hoping to get on these boards. Printing it out now.
