Residential Frig suddenly shut off, No Power

Heard a loud clap noise while sitting at the kitchen table and opened up the Hisense residential refrig and found it shut off. I reset the breaker which was not tripped and no go. All other appliance work. Went outside and turned on my WFCO 4000 inverter and the fridge works but when I turned it off and tried shore power there was still no power to the fridge. Any ideas?

You have at least determined your fridge is good since it will operate from the inverter. The ac from the shore power passes thru the inverter to the fridge.

You need to check the power pedestal to ensure that it sits not trip. Is your microwave on? Check the main breaker in your breaker panel.

You are not getting shore power so check these things first..

Sounds like there's no incoming 120 volt power to the inverter.

WFCO doesn't make a '4000' model inverter, but that's not really important to your problem. I'd start checking for power at the inverter and work back toward the power panel until you find where the circuit is broken.

Those are all on. Sounds like the inverter is working off the battery but it’s very well possible no a/c power is getting to the inverter. Good call

The inverter should be plugged into a receptacle. Can you get to the back of your inverter? If you can find the cord and trace to the receptical and check power at receptacle....
