roof cleaner damage to sides

I have cleaned a rubber roof and did not rinse sides of trailer quick enough. Cleaner left white streak marks on all sides. also cleaned the roof in hot weather. I have used Awesome, Simply Green, , Mr Clean scrubber, WD40, rubbing compound, black streak remover, lots of Elbow Grease, RV wash and Wax all to no avail. Streaks appear to be removed when first washed/dried but appear to come back. Less noticeable but still there. Manufacturer has wrong contact number on product and web site difficult to negotiate. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ouch! Sorry to hear about the streaks. That happened to us on one of our first RVs when we used what we thought was a good product for cleaning our rubber roof. As far as removing the streaks on the sides we finally hired a professional with a buffer and it got rid of most of them. The stubborn ones seemed to fade over time and wash/wax jobs.

If you do a search there are a couple of threads that explain why most of us now use a diluted Dawn solution or Murphys oil soap.

Good luck!

So no go with rubbing compound . how about making the rest match the streaks . wash the rv with the roof cleaner and let it dry . then maybe it will all blend in . or keep going at it with rubbing compound try the 3-M compound works great . expensive though
