Rookie and loving it!

We are Bob and Ginny Crocker from Long Island, NY. We bought a Sunseeker 3010DS at the Hershey show from Wilkins RV in Rochester NY (and so far, we're very satisfied with the dealership).

Picked up "Navicula" on 12/5/14 and drove it 9 hours through freezing rain to get it home. Took another 9 hours to pry my clenched hands off the steering wheel.

We got to take our first shakedown cruise locally on Long Island a week ago, and we're in love with the RV and the idea of the RV lifestyle. We're soon to retire, and plan to wander around the country until we're sick of it.

Cool. We used to go up to long island frequently when we had some dear friends living in port Jeff. The traffic to get there and back was a crap shoot but I liked the area. Now, closer to new York, not likey so much. We are heading to the finger lakes friday, camping at Taughnnock state park near ithica and going to enjoy the Herb and Wine Festival at the Cayuga lake wine trail.....

Welcome to the forum...I haven't been on it a while, last year was a bust when it came to camping...this year is really looking good. Still looking for other forum members when I am out in the campgrounds of Middle Tennessee and North Georgia.

Very familiar with the area. Some good wineries up Rte 89 on Lake Cayuga, but a whole ring of wineries around Lake Seneca- next one west and not too far away.

Enjoy!

Oh yes, quite a few wineries along that route, we enjoy them very much. We have done some wineries around Seneca and also around lake keuka in the past as well. We usually camp at the koa at Watkins glen. This is the first year we are trying a ny state park, looking forward to it.
