Hi All,
I am in the process of purchasing my first camper. I was just out measuring my driveway and have started to get a little bit of panic when realizing what a beast I am purchasing. I have a 2018 F-250 long bed diesel that I have purchased and will pick up later this week. I also found a 325pack13 toy hauler in Tennessee that I will be driving down to get in early December. Driving it home with my boyfriend and teenage daughter will be the first time I have driven a 5th wheel in 20 years (a few times driving a gooseneck horse trailer back then). My boyfriend had a 35 foot travel trailer about 10 years ago.
I have wanted a camper for 10 years and a little Covid-craziness led me to pull the trigger in a big way. When we pick this thing up we will know nothing more than what the seller tells us about how it all works. They are wonderful so far, but I don’t want to drive them crazy with beginner questions.

So, where do you suggest I go to learn about this? Basic definitions, how does a generator, propane, etc all work? I am so excited but also very nervous and need to learn all I can to feel better about this adventure!

(Especially driving home 14 hours...should we run propane heaters if we pull over in a rest area? Can I bring a generator and just plug-and-play? What hitch do I need to get put in my truck? And on, and on!!!)

Thanks and nice to meet everyone!

First, a big welcome and you have come to the right place as a start.
Wow! - my first reaction is matching that truck to the toy hauler.

But your last question should be your first to solve:
"What hitch do I need to get put in my truck?" This is not an easy step and from what I have read here, you will need some expert help.
So I will let some experienced toy hauler people step in and help you.
Again, welcome and I do hope you will get all the right help you need.
