SE TN Traveler

Howdy,

I'm Larry. I retired a little over a year ago from corporate IT for TVA. Yesterday I picked up my first RV, a 2021 ePro 20BHS. I've got a little patch on the Hiwassee that will serve as base camp.

I've stayed in Sunseekers in Alaska salmon fishing so it was easy to decide on the ePro bunkhouse.

I primarily travel to fly fish, but now that I have this, who knows?

Hello all.

Welcome from the Ozarks in Arkansas. Since your a fly Fisher you must know that our Ozarks are rated best in the world for that sport. If you make it up this way give me a PM.

Howdy. Yes, we were aware of the Ozarks' fly fishing reputation. Our first out of town trip might be to the White River. You have a favorite RV park there? I've seen several that look nice.

Welcome from Alaska. Guessing you came for the mighty King Salmon. did you get the Halibut as well? I'm treking the lower 48 to see the sights and visit friends and family. Enjoy the new wheels.

Actually we were chasing reds on the Kenai. I went twice for a couple of weeks each. Great fishing, great time. We did do some halibut fishing on charters and I wasn't thrilled with it. That halibut was tough too. My buddy went with friends and enjoyed it much more. The smaller halibut are much more tender and tasty.

I'm coming back next summer if I can get vaccinated in time. Reds and rainbows this time out.

If I was twenty years younger I would light out in the new rig headed NW on an epic fishing trip. I don't think they would let me in Canada though.

Canada has been shut down for through travel for a while. We actually bought an RV in Texas and sold our RV in Alaska as we couldn't drive through Canada to the lower 48. We are headed to Yuma tomorrow an I have heard many of the Canadians are not snowbirding there this year. We will drive back to Alaska one summer eventually when Canada opens back up. We want to hit Banff in Canada on the way.

I PM'd you this morning.

I also have spent a lot of time on the Keani. My folks lived on the river bank out of Sterling, which is just up the road from Soldotna. Lost count of all the times we went up there for two week visits over the years.
