Special tire pressure

Read all about tire pressure, but not about my inquiry
Live in Quebec Canada left May 1 at 38 degree tires inflated to 110PSI now after 2200Miles and 4 days parked the tires are at 116PSI at 75 degree should I deflate to read 110 again.

Since you are just parked, the warmer air temp will change your tire pressure. Check it when you are ready to pull & then adjust. If you want to drop it back to 110 that works, but I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Use a good tire pressure gauge too. Most at gas stations around me are not even close to being accurate +/- 10 pounds.

Tks for the quick reply --forgot to mentioned---have a VIAIR that can put air in or out with gauge--and have the 507 TST--will do what you mentioned since I was thinking that also to drop to 110PST Thank you
Claude

Best time to adjust tire pressure is in early morning before sun starts to heat tires.....

The tire pressure listed on the tire is cold inflation temp (meaning not driven) I would adjust prior to leaving your current campground.

My thoughts, if it has sat for 4 days and the 110 is measured before the tires have been in the sun, (which is cold inflation), I would drop it to 110, (just my preference). The reason why, I am thinking this is because you are most likely not going to be driving in 38 degree temps, I am guessing probably more closer to the 75 degree. I do think what you see is not unreasonable, (and probably not a big deal in the long run whether you leave it alone or lower it), on our tires I have seen a similar swing when going from those extremes. Yesterday, before we left, the tires were 76-77 psi at ~40 degrees, I didn't bother filling them because I knew I filled them at ~65 degrees a couple of weeks prior. As soon as the sun starting hitting them the psi went up and after about 10 minutes on the road they were at 80 or more psi. I am currently in ~55 degree temp and the tires are at 78-79 psi today before the sun hits them. This is just from my experience from the last 11 months of being on the road. So I have no scientific facts and this based on a sample of one...
