Suggestions for our first trip....
We plan on taking our first trip Oct 14-17, 2011. We live on Maryland's Eastern Shore so any where in the Mid-Atlantic region is open I guess. Any suggestions for a first trip with the 5 kids?

Do you want to stay on the Eastern Shore or head inland a bit maybe to the Blue Ridge Mts?

X2 what WeBJammin said. Shenandoah Valley is beautiful. We just purchased our TT in July and have been down to the Shenandoah Valley twice. There is some nice CGs down that way that should work for you. Gettysburg is also a great place to go, but finding a site in October might be a little hard with all the festivities going on up there.

How about Frontier Town, that should be close enough, they are open til the end of October and they would enjoy the Holloween fun there.

Well we did it!! Took our first trip. We stayed at Turkey Swamp Campground in NJ. Nice place. Roads were dirt and very, very tight!!! All spots are pull through for the most part. Water hook up was 50' or so away. Electric was within the boundaries of the site. Bath house was clean but wife complained because the windows were open and it was chilly. For entertainment we (not me, i chauffeured) toured all 11 NJ lighthouses. I maybe climbed 2. Well, okay, one with two towers. LOL. My rule was I would only tour those with elevators. One of the light houses they climbed had 226 steps, one way. My two year old climbed them all. My final thought, owning a TT is worse than a house. It's mobile.

Just returned from Myrtle Beach, SC and stayed at the Myrtle Beach KOA. Thought it was great.
