Thank you and hello from Taos, NM. Coachmen Apex Nano 189 RBS

Hello Group Members,
New member, new to travel trailer camping.
We purchased a 2018 Coachmen Apex Nano 189RBS from a friend who only used it twice. Hoped to get it out quite a bit this year but the forest fires are putting a damper on that for now.

With that being said, I am learning about the trailer, making some minor repairs, door stay latch, replacing O2/propane alarm, figuring out storage issues, replaced the electric tongue jack which took a dive last week.

Adding a locking battery box on the tongue for dual batteries, which I hope to charge off of a solar system, of which I have purchased from Renogy. Herein lies my question. I would like to mount tilt up brackets on the roof for the panels but have not been able to find the information I require to mount the brackets directly to the roof. Have considered roof racks for that purpose if need be.
Would anyone know what the roof materials are of the roof construction?
Any diagrams available? Taking all precautions as I have come to notice that the interior construction is fair at best. Cheap materials though probably light weight.

Also along these lines, I plan on installing the solar equipment in the front storage area. Anyone have any experience with installing a solar system on theirs?

Do not like that the kitchen cabinet area does not have one drawer...lol
May do something under the sink cabinet to alter that.

Anyhow, thanks for this group and I will read through the comments in other sections in the meantime.

Regards,
Brian

Welcome to the forum!

A two year old propane alarm shouldn't have to be replaced, but at least you know it's new. I don't think there are any specific plans for the roof construction, but perhaps someone will know.

You need an administrator to move you to the Apex forum to get specific help on your rig.

It was a nearly 5 year old alarm. Began sounding for no reason. Batteries was within norms, so it had to be the alarm. It would not reset.
Thanks though.
