Total Newbies
Hi from Louisville KY! We are total newbies looking forward to this next chapter in our life. We are working on our retirement plan. Bought a 2022 Della Terra 230RB a few days ago and then we needed sonething to pull it so yesterday we purchased a 2018 Ram 2500. Next week we go through our walk through and pick it up. We are so excited! So many questions and don't know what to ask lol!

Congrats on new toy and welcome to the site!
Please coordinate with your dealer to install and setup a weight distribution hitch with anti-sway before you pull off the lot. You absolutely don’t want to be “those” people with your headlights pointed to the sky and swaying wildly while passing or getting passed by a semi.

Thanks! Yes, they will be taking care of all that. That was included in our negotiation.

Outstanding!
If your dealer doesn’t mind you may want to video record your walk through. If you are, as you say, “total newbies” you’ll want to have a reference for later. Make sure they cover winterization, what every switch does, how to operate everything, how to change a tire (correct jacking points), etc. It may seem overwhelming at first but you’ll soon become pros. Lots of help available on the site.

Keep in mind that any WDH setup performed by your dealer is with an empty trailer which can easily weigh a ton more after you get home and load your "stuff."
Personally think videoing the inspection is a bad idea as, for me at least, it's difficult to concentrate on the inspection and videoing at the same time.
There are hundreds of on-line videos on simple taska like "winterization" which should not be of immediate concern in Kentucky -- unlike Alberta.

Yes, we are “total newbies”, lol, and I was planning to video it. Told my husband that I need to make sure my phone is fully charged as well as our portable charger as they said it will take 4 hours to complete. I’ve been researching about everything we need to ask and do. I’ve been looking for a checklist to use.

Welcome!
Congratulations and best wishes for many new travel opportunities. We are not NEWBIES to camping or to having campers but we just became new Class A owners and there is a lot to learn about that. We have found the the people on this forum have been so willing to share their knowledge and expertise with us. It has been invaluable. We are a friendly group so pull up a chair and join in.

Thanks! I think while my husband is listening and asking questions I thought I would video it and chime in when I can.

We just picked up our 2022 Della Terra 230RB and we love it so far! We camped in it this past weekend for the first time. I am also new to the forum and look forward to comparing notes with you from time to time, Mimi! We are not new to owning an RV or camping. Just an FYI...after we brought home the trailer, all the wiring had come loose...my husband tightened it all up and it worked like a charm without any issues driving to and from our campsite. The dealer really didn't prep it as they should have, in my opinion. The AC is loud so be prepared for that. When the bedroom door is open, it blocks the front door of the trailer. Other than those very minor things, the trailer is just perfect for us and we love it. The large bathroom and the king size bed sold us!
UGH...just figured out that this thread is from 2021. How's it going Mimi26??? LOL

GigiLove, Congratulations on your new rig and welcome to the forum. Glad you like your new rig and next time, you might try posting a new thread so that people can 'see' you.

I’m still here, lol! Our Della Terra has been sitting in our daughters driveway while we have been building a pole barn on her property with a small living quarters for us. Winter set in and then while plugged up our refrigerator went out so we had to take it back to the dealer. Husbands last day to work is Wednesday, he is retiring. We are now ready to take our first trip and so excited! We are leaving for a short trip on 5/24.
By the way, I find this forum a little difficult to use. Guess I am just used to FB.
