Total newbs

Hello all. First time RVers. Between COVID and family members/parents passing early, decided to go for it now before it's too late. Was originally set on a Wolf Pup 16FQ due to low weight, low price, Murphy bed, nice bathroom and extra wide toilet space, however, ended up with Palomino 189BHS due to local availability and slide-out in addition to previous items (except traded bathroom sink for bunks ). The slide-out sure makes a difference, can't imagine two large people trying to pass in the isle without it!!!

Spent a few nights in it in the driveway... only real complaint is the built-in internal speakers... Awful!! Tried different EQ settings but still yuck. I guess I should be thankful that is biggest complaint.

Also no door window shade... Every other window has them from factory. Weird.

Taking our first real trip at the end of the month for Memorial Day.

Anyway, looking forward to getting out there!

Welcome! We are taking our first trip in two years, in two weeks. We will probably do an outing in our driveway tomorrow.

This is an excellent thread for anybody starting out and, even, for people like me who have been RVing for years. I can’t count how many times I have revisited this thread.

Reading this thread and all of the links within it, then clicking a box that says something like “I have read all of this great information and I am ready to start posting on the FRF” should be a prerequisite to posting privileges here.
