Total Rookie, Yeeks! So excited!!

Hi everyone,

So DH and I have now plopped our only child out of state to begin her university experience and we are fresh empty nesters! DH grew up in Canada and VW Vanagon-ed across the country as he grew up and it was all good. I didn't camp at all until last year, then tented it, and I love it! Now we're looking at purchasing a Rockwood A122 cutie that will fit in our garage and help show us sights so far unseen! Our awesome medium-sized dog Penny will be our constant camping buddy; she digs travelling and loves hotels and state parks the same.
Looking forward to what lies ahead, and I'm happy I'll have you all to lean on, since it's a LOT of info to take in as far as equipment, power sources, etc!

Be safe out there!

Hello from the Cornhusker state of Nebraska. I still miss the tenting days and still make a run up to NW Montana every year to do 3-4 days of Wilderness camping in a tent with a camp stove, flash lights, canned and freeze dried foods.

Welcome from upstate NY, whatever you camp in, and where ever you go, take the time to enjoy the people and places you meet and see along the way. The journey is just as much fun as the destination. Enjoy, God Bless.
