Travel nurses & we bought an Ibex!

Well, the title says it. Me and my long term GF are both RNs at our local Trauma unit in the emergency department and we are hitting the road!

I have owned several Volkswagen bus over the years and spent many hours behind the wheel, underneath wrenching on them and camping with friends and family. Sold my last Veedub this year and decided travel life now requires A/C and a real hot water shower.

We originally shopped the NO-BO and GEO-lander but bought an Ibex 19QBS based on the fridge size, A/C size, nice walk in shower with Lexan doors and the slide out just made the space so much bigger. Of course the solar set-up is welcomed and the weight was important as my tow vehicle is a 5th gen 4Runner.

Look forward to meeting new like minded folks and gaining knowledge from the old school RVers.

Cheers, see you on the road.

Enjoy getting away from E.D. Well deserved break. And thank you for keeping us alive. Angels in scrubs you all are.

Howdy from a retired RN and paramedic. What a great way to spend your travel stipend! If you ever snag a contract near Central Virginia, reach out and I'll provide any needed local info.

Thanks brothah, I spent 15 years "on the truck" as a Paramedic before getting my RN license in 2016. We will def have to put Virginia on our short list.👍

Similar career path here: EMT in '75, paramedic in '83, RN in 2013. Among my most challenging jobs now is setting up and breaking down camp!
