Hi there! New members, Susie and Annette. We retired 1 year ago and have a new Rockwood 5th wheel. We have taken it out three times, and have some questions.
Not sure how the 12V fridge with inverter and solar works. Does the frdige run on just the inverter? Do i have to turn the inverter on? Leave it on?

Hi and Welcome to FRF.
It is always helpful to provide which model number your Rockwood is.
If it's a actual 12v only fridge, it should be connected straight to the battery. An inverter inverts 12v DC power to 120v AC power.
A residential fridge would be powered through an inverter, not a 12v only fridge.
Did you receive a poor PDI/walk-through from the dealer?

The solar charges the batteries, but not quickly. It's more to maintain the battery charge than to power your rig.
It would be helpful if you could provide not only info on your rig, but make and model of that refrigerator.

In most cases that inverter should be on if you're using the fridge in order to get power to it. It's possible that something else runs off that inverter, but I don't know what it would be.

If it actually has an inverter, it may be for the outlets.
Unless the OP is confusing the converter with the inverter.

If you have a residential fridge then its outlet will be powered by the inverter. You will want the inverter to be on if you want the fridge to make cold while traveling,

The FR webpage for this trailer, shows a 12v only fridge with inverter and solar panel. The inverter must before the outlets but it doesn't state the solar panel wattage:
