Yes another newbie

Hi

New to Forest River forums. Should have introduced myself over a month ago. Just didn't get around to it, until now. Have owned several travel trailers in the past 20 years. Weekend and one or two week outings has been or norm until now. We just placed an order for a Signature Rockwood 8298KS. It'll be our first 5th wheel. Trying to get a feel for the Forest River products . Seems like most issues are the same no matter the manufacture. Same suppliers for almost everything with the same occasional issues. We have a Grand Design camper right now. It has been issue free. Our hope is we can get the same from the 8298KS.

Were really looking forward to using the new camper for longer extend outings. Not full timers. Just retired last year. We did our first work camp jobs this summer in the Grand Tetons and enjoyed it. First time camping west of the Mississippi . We just need something bigger than what we currently have to make things a little more comfortable and manageable . While our 28ft travel trailer with 2 slides had a lot of room , it wasn't enough for more than a week or two stay. 4 months proved that to us. The wife and I did manage to not kill each other. LOL

Now were selling our travel trailer while the new 5th wheel is being built.

For us we have had great support from our factory if and when needed. I have heard good things as well about the Rockwood/Flagstaff factory, I would suggest you join the Forest River Owners Group (FROG) and also get the contact info off the web site for the factory just incase you need help.
