Winshield Wipers

Kind of a goofy problem I have. I live in the desert to windshield wipers wear rot out in the heat long before you have a chance to use them. Of course, then the rain comes and your wipers don't work. Anyway, I found this out with my RV this weekend and figured I'd just swing into the 'ol auto parts store and pick up a replacement set...

Well, easier said then done, I couldn't figure out how to get the old wipers off and the 15 year-old at the store wasn't able to match up what I had.

I guess my question is, does anyone know how to remove the wiper blades or know what part number to replace them with?
