2 plug outlets to 50 amp cord - sound familar? It exists

Had to share what I saw at camping world yesterday because it reminded me of the Y adapter post that had a rather active following.

thought i aimed my iphone properly to capture the description AND the price, but the result reflects why i also don't take pictures of people either. i also screw up the framing and always capture only portions of people in my pictures.

sorry, i dont recall the price. the blue box was about 10x6x6. it is a camping world branded product so it may be on their web site too.

It will not work in all CG. Some posts that have both the 20 amp plug and the 30 amp plug are only 30 amp. The are wired so you can use either 20 or 30 amp but not both. Just like the 50 amp box you have 50 amp going to the box not 100 amp.

X2

Because the 50 amp RV service is actually two legs of 50 amp service, the way the box is wired is to have one leg of the service (primary) be supplied by the 30 amp RV socket and the other leg of service be supplied by the 20 amp Duplex.

It works on panels that are seperately fused for each circuit like this: The 50 amp socket comes off the sub-panel "main" and the 30 and 20 are off each leg of the 50 amp main.

This is not what the Y thread is talking about (I think).
