2021 23RD-L Bedroom Tv Mount

Purchased a 2021 Cherokee 23RD-L at the end of December. We upgraded from the 2010 Hybrid (getting old and it was a lot of work to put up and open up).
Very excited that the bedroom had a tv mount and connections for a tv. We do not camp to watch tv, but we do enjoy watching the news and morning show.
I drilled holes where the "Mount TV here" sticker was and found nothing behind it.
Drilled across the wall and still found nothing!
Contacted Forest River who informed me that there was supposed to be a 3/4 inch piece of wood in that location to mount a tv to and that I should contact my dealer for warranty work.
So I put it in the shop for several weeks (parts delayed due to COVID) and brought the trailer home being told, mount the tv anywhere below the blue tape.
Well, there was nothing there!
Did find a metal plate in the area below the roof, but too high to attach a tv mount.
I cut and stained a board of a size I believed to be appropriate and attached it to the wall via self-drilling bolts and glue.
I attached the tv mount.
I then hung the tv.
There was much rejoicing!

I had a similar situation. I still honestly don't know if there is a backer plate for the area I put my bedroom TV, but despite several trips across the state (I-96 sucks), It seems to have held up just fine.

It probably helps that the TV was small to fit over the window, so that made it real lightweight, and the mount I have was pretty light as well. I think the whole thing weighs 10 lbs mount and all.

Still it is one of the first things I inspect after I reach my destination.

I think my tv (24 inch) weighs 3-4 lbs and the mount weighs about the same. I think that as long as the arm screws are set so it is not swinging around it should be fine.
