One of my pet peeves is backing our little trailer in the pitch black. It's pretty difficult when you can't see a thing in the mirrors and have to use a flashlight on the ground as a reference point.
So... I fixed the problem
I bought some cheap automotive LED flood lights from amazon, they were about $15 for a pair. Then I mounted them as far forward on the trailer as I could so the light would shine down the length of the trailer and on the obstacles in its path. I ended up mounting them on the front-most bottom corner, attached to a bracket coming from the frame.
The 7-pin connecter has a 'reverse light' pin that is rarely used. This is the center pin. After running and connecting wires from both left and right lights, they were mounted, and connected to ground and the center pin at a junction box underneath the trailer.
That's IT! It's VERY easy, and the results are amazing. When backing into a spot, I can see everything down the side of the trailer.
