Adding countertop extention

I recently added a counter top extension to our Georgetown 2015.
Due to space restrictions, and a stroke that the DW had, I could not use anything that required too much effort to work. I originally wanted to have one that would fit into brackets at the end of the sink area.

I used these brackets.

I used a shim under the countertop the height of the cutting board.

I also used some 1/2 in sheet metal screws to attach the cutting board to the bracket, these were left over from a deck project.

I did removed the handle from the door.

I used the same brackets and a similar cutting board, it works very nicely.
