yes living in the country is nice
here is a pic of our camper at home and i now have 3 additional 30 amp hook ups for guest campers
we have a couple of friends that also live in the country that also have campers
so we take turns hosting the holiday weekends, as the campground tend to get crowded on those dates

You sure that thing is a mobile home. Looks more like a retirement village.

I signed up for that program called boondockers welcome, since I live close to Yosemite and other attractions, thought it might be worth trying. I stay home on weekends and holidays but it might help you too. Not sure what is available in your area.

We are lucky enough to be able to store ours at our storage yard. Where I have a couple of things there and the tenant pays me $1300 a month. And we have different yards.

I love it! Great idea for the holidays. I wish I had people to do that with.

In preparation for our first travel trailer we are getting, we just did a concrete pad on the side of our house.

Nice! Now throw a roof up to cover the pad. Hehe.

Can't HOA. I will just have to get a RV cover.

Well it just is what it is. the HOA was nice enough to approve me parking it behind my privacy fence, but I can't have a roof structure over it would be way over the fence line.

When we moved into our new house, there was a blacktop basketball court in the backyard. We don't have any basketball players in our family, so we bought a camper to park on it!

If you put up a metal carport it will not extend over the fence. It will be the same width as the concrete pad.

Think its a height issue not width

I lived in San Diego for many years. We had the RV parked next to the house where we had created a pad for it complete with water and 50 amp service and dump thru the house clean out. Never lived where there was an HOA, but my friend in Albuquerque does. She had to build an underground garage for her MH so it could not be seen anywhere on her property. It is actually under her house. That to me is nuts.
Now I live in TX and have 2 acres. I had 50 amp service installed here with water and have a nice large area to park. I would recommend to anyone that is storing their RV at home to have the proper electric service added for the RV. Sure makes a huge difference in being able to run the AC or heat if needed. Also makes for a nice guest house if needed.

In Southern California here and we wouldn't live anywhere where there is one.
I have a friend that lives in one him and his neighbors are always snitching on each other oh they didn't get their trash cans in on time etc etc.
To each his own but here in the country we believe in Freedom.

Yes, we just bought a home in Tennessee and two of our requirements was the ability to park our RV here and no HOA and we are very happy when we were able to find that. Best of luck to you and your RV parking project !

I agree completely. If I lived in an older area of SoCal where it was already run down I wouldn’t mind. Being in a newer area it doesn’t take long for the trash to move in and start bringing it down.
It’s unfortunate that two grown people can’t get along and live next to each other. But hey, if both played by the rules they both signed up for there wouldn’t be a need for snitching would there?!
