Air Ride suspension on 5th Wheel

I have a 2020 Rockwood 8291 RK 5th wheel. Rear Kitchen. Stock suspension is so stiff nothing in the cabinet's stay put and the fridge bounced enough it broke the supports. I'm looking into an upgrade on suspension. Anyone with a rear kitchen have experience with Lippert Center Point, Lippert Road Armor or MORyde systems?

Thanks
Bob

When upgrading, I personally avoid anything Lippert. Too many issues and not enough testing in my not so humble opinion.

I've had friends who did the MorRyde Independent Suspension and have been very pleased with it.

To get the smoothest ride you may need to adjust the tire PSI based on the weight info from the CAT scales, tire manufacturers provide a chart that allows you to set the tire pressure based on load. Then add the Roadmaster shock absorbers system. If you travel a lot of miles the rubber sheer systems on most equalizer products dont have a good reputation for longevity.

Check out STI air ride by Timbren. They make complete axles with your choice of brakes in 3.5K, 5.2K, 6K, 7K, 8K and 10K.

You measure the current ride height on your stock axles, and they can supply you the air ride axles with a similar height.

They also have compressor kits for the air supply.

The roads just about everywhere suck.

There are tons of upgrades, just depends on what you want to spend. The independent systems such as MorRyde's are great, but man, hang on to your wallet. You need to have them installed also. You could go with a shock absorber add on. (if you don't already have shocks). That would help the ride substantially. Not terribly expensive. You can get the kits through ETrailer. Tire pressure as others have mentioned will help. You need to look at the tires you're running also. Some will have stiffer sidewalls than others as well.

That's the problem with rear kitchens. Friends of mine had one and after on of there trips all of there knives that were in the built in holder were stuck in the walls.
