== Aluminum Wheels Update ==

I really hated the Black Trailer wheels that came with my FR Salem FSX 260RT. Not sure why they even put 14" wheels and tires on it either. I upgraded them to 15" and went with Aluminum Wheels, Chrome center caps and Chrome lug nuts too. I think it made a HUGE difference in the look. Both the 14" and 15" tires are Load Range D. I sold the take off 14" wheels and tires (Like New) for a good buck to help offset the purchase of the new wheels. Found a great deal on wheels, tires, center caps, lug nuts, mounted and free shipping from FL to NC.

It is a good idea to torque the lug nuts on aluminum wheels before each trip. The lug nuts seem to loosen up with aluminum wheels. I do this on every trip and have found 1-4 have loosened about every 2nd or 3rd time.

Thanks, and I agree 100%. I just returned from a 1800 mile round trip from NC to the Gulf in FL. I did check the torque on them when I arrived at the KOA in Naples/Marco Island. I found two nuts that I got a half turn on, all the others were fine. I have not checked them yet since I got back home to NC, but I plan to.

Those original rims could not be any uglier unless you outfitted them with "dog dish" hubcaps

Congrats on a good choice for replacement

Make sure the wheels are forged, the cheaper chinese wheels are cast and known to break the struts on them if they get bound up,or twisted up on shsrp corners, especislly when backing uo and turning short
