I added a soap/shampoo holder in the shower. I had to modify the flag holder and mount it to the ladder since the crappy suctions cups won't hold it anymore. I also built and mounted a sewer hose (pictured) out of a pvc fence post.

I upgraded my sound system. Took my time and picked away at it since Nov and finished up this weekend.

I am thinking about turning the 1 step up inside to 2 steps so it will not be so steep. I know it would have to be removable so I could access the furnace if I had to work on it.
Has anyone done this before?

What soap shampoo did you use and sewer hose does it effect your clearance.

Just got done putting an outlet and charger in the storage compartment and a cordless drill will now be charged at all times.

Too darn cold here in MN to even consider going to the barn to work on the trailer!

I bought the soap/shampoo holder from Target. It's just a silver metal basket type. Still unsure if the double sided tape I used will hold.

No clearance issues with the holder. If you look at the pic you can see the rear stabilizers hang lower than the holder.

Regarding the RV Door Buddy storm door conversion, I’d give 3 stars out of 5. I liked that they call you back & double check your measurements. They prefer if you use a metal yard stick. They wrap all four edges of each panel with vinyl, nice touch. However once I received the panels there was a little slop in how they fit. I went to Lowes & got some 7/16” thick self-stick weather stripping & that helped. If you have the right circular saw blade, a jigsaw to cut the radiuses & something to wrap the edges with I think you could do a more custom fit job yourself for half the price.

The wireless RV Door Lock on the other hand is freakin sweet! I got the extra keypad too. Took longer to unwrap everything than it took to install. I still have to play with it a little & tweak the strike plate but other than that there were no issues. 5 stars out of 5.

50 Amp surge guard, once I got in place it only took 10 mins. Had to use a pair of bolt cutters to cut the main feed cable.
Didn’t have quite enough slack to mount it completely vertical. Not going to lose any sleep over it. Hope I never have to do a follow-up report on this mod.

Inspection next week & then I’ll install the central vac & IntelliJack Level Ease System & Combi-cam locks.
I have a two door camper and hate having seperate keys, do you know if one remote or keypad can unlock both doors?

Technically yes you could use one key pad or key fob on multiple doors. There are instructions included to train the door lock to recognize the key pad / fob. The only thing it would lock/unlock both doors at the same time. It would not differentiate between the doors. I guess you could have separate key pads for each door & a one key fob to work both doors.

Ok here at some pictures of my doors after installing the Velcro and Lexan. Not perfect but it will work to allow us to use heat or AC and keep the solid doors open for the light and views. HC

It is a modification on my part, but something that the dealer overlooked.
I am upgrading my house battery to four 6 volt golf cart batteries. While poking around to see the most favourable place to complete the connections, I decided to take the cover off the existing battery box mounted on the tongue.
We live in a rainforest. We annually get 46 inches of rainfall. The battery box lid has vents for gassing off of the batteries. The dealer forgot to drill holes in the bottom of the battery box to drain any accumulation of water. Here is what I found. Yup, the battery was totally submerged.
I removed the battery, washed the top off with distilled water and baking soda and then rinsed with distilled water.
Drilled the battery box with drain holes, allowed everything to dry then re-installed. I checked that battery voltage and it appears to be good.
Make sure if you live where you can have water accumulate, check you exterior battery box(es) for drain holes.

That's looks great, so if I understand you made storm windows(best I can put it) are they attached on the inside or outside? I have a my dog and he likes to push against the screen. the last camper I had to bolt a piece of plex glass to lower half. can you give a little more details on how you did it? thanks

I mounted the Lexan to the outside using industrial strength Velcro in one inch wide strips. If I had a dog I would have mounted it to the inside. The Velcro was put on as a continuos run around the mounting/screen door frame and around the border of the Lexan. I decided to go with 2 separate panels for each door, top and lower halves.

Cutting was done by a plastic cutting blade designed for Lexan and plexiglass in a straight line. The arch I cut with a circle cutting saw like for cutting a circle in sheet rock.

We store the camper, so I often drive to the storage lot after work to pick it up. I am unable to keep the hitch on the truck and still maneuver around the small parking garage and didn't want the hitch rolling around the back of the truck - so we fabricated a hitch carriage with a deadbolt mechanism. Also built a corral for the generator or the jerry cans -- it works great.

My DW did not like the curtains that came with the trailer, so she hired a seamstress and made new curtains for the TT. They are Roman Blinds, no mechanical parts.

Finally some decent weather, so I upgraded the suspension. The new ones were bronze, also all pivot points have greaseable bolts. The teflon inserts are garbage. They were flat on one side from sitting. The trailer has only two nights of camping in it. Be sure to check the inserts in your suspension.

Any details on the shackle-kit that you used, Jonnys?
