Attaching Backup Camera to Camper

I removed the center light from the rear, top of the camper so I can use the wiring for a wireless backup camera. Now I am left with the problem of "bolting" the camera bracket to the exterior wall. I guess I can use large sheet metal screws, but I'm looking for a better way. What do you recommend?

Thanks you!

I did just that. Snake the power wire down to the reverse light, etc. to mount, get a small roll of mastic putty and use that between the camera mount and the body. (Clean the body with denatured alcohol first) Mount with the sheet metal screws (pan head). Once mounted, remove each screw, put caulk on the screw hole and return the screw. (Don't over tighten) The tightening of the screw should squeeze a little caulk out which is fine. Once it's up, caulk around the camera mount. Should be good and leak free.

Why use mastic putty instead of something like Dicor?

Which backup camera did you choose and why? I'd like to find one that I can view from my cell phone any time I'd like...even when not backing up.

Sharx, a dedicated router and the MobiLink app. Wire the Sharx into any running light.
