Axle diameter of Barker tank

Can anyone tell me the diameter of the axle shaft of a Barker tote-along 25 Gallon portable tank? I would like to buy one and install better tires so I won't have a problem towing it behind my truck at 3 mph. I want to be able to drive at least 25 mph....just kidding, I'll keep it below 5 mph.

I replaced the front wheels/tires on mine with some from Tractor Supply. Pretty sure the axle was 1/2". New wheels are solid steel and tires a thick run flat, but not hard rubber. Works great now. Didn't change the rear- front take a lot more abuse because of taking side loading during turns and more impact force because of smaller diameter when hitting rocks, sticks, etc.
