Cabinet over refrigerator in G19QB

If I have any pet peeves about my GeoPro, my number one would have to be the cabinet shelf over the refrigerator and bottom shelf in the pantry/closet. Both shelves are made of crappy thin non reinforced Luan. Both shelves sag in the middle by as much as 1/2" with little or no weight on them (see before pic). The construction of these cabinet shelves should have had at least 3/8" plywood or at least a couple of support joists.

Today's project was to fix this deficiency. I added supports under the cabinet shelf above the refrig as well as to the bottom shelf in the pantry/cloths closet. See before and after pics... no more sags.

the shelves and such are built that way so that these rigs can be pulled by smaller vehicles plus keeping the mfg cost low.

Point taken and I get it, towing weight is important as well as keeping costs down. But the retail cost to me for the materials was less than $1.00 and the total weight was probably only about 4-6 ounces.

That is pretty insignificant ($20K+ for this TT) when you are considering structural integrity. Also, I have heard others complain about these shelves here as well as on other forums. As an engineer I take a proactive approach because I don't want the wood to fatigue which would result in more expensive repair cost and effort.
