Cherokee 28BH First Mod
Added the battery cutoff switch, shelves in the shower, and vent hoods. I also hung a picture for the wife, and included velcro to keep it from falling off the wall while traveling. Here are a couple pictures...

Found them at Meijers...They worked great, they are spring loaded, and you can adjust as needed.

I will shoot some more of the battery disconnect this weekend. I found the idea here, and there were plenty of pic's with it. You can do a search for it. I ordered the switch online from Ebay, but Batteries Plus here had them and they were close to the same price.

Just picked up our 28BH on monday. Looking to do a battery disconnect/switch and I'm looking forward to your pics this weekend. DW and I were saying we want to find a picture for that exact same spot.

My disconnect switch bit the dust this past trip. I tried to raise the jack, and had no power from the battery. The jack must have shorted out the switch. Going to check out a better one.

Can't you turn off the MAIN breaker to act like a battery disconnect?

nope.
Several things run reagardless, the propane/co2 detector being one. You need batt juice for the brakes' breakaway to work, so it's handy to be able to turn it off/on from outside. Not disconnecting it can let a batt go dead in 3 to 5 days, maybe longer with a new battery.

Thank you for the tip, I think I should look into a switch for my rig.

It's one of the mods i plan to do before next season. I'm gonna take it a step further and try to put the switch inside, perhaps by the door as that's in the same cabinet as the inverter so the wires should be there. That will put the switch and connections out the weather and out of the reach of any curious hands. Shouldn't be any more work and just as convenient to access - and secure as well.
Edit to add - the radio memory also is active with the batt connected.
