counter top extension

I bought a 2011 Solera and it came with the counter top extension. The bracket holding it up is nice but. When you have it down and come to a stop going down the highway. You can hear it banging. It just swings back and forth. Has anyone can up with an idea to stop this?

Maybe some velcro pads to keep it in contact with the counter or stick a couple soft rubber pads to the counter to act as a bump stop. It will still swing but wont bang as loudly.

I have on in my 2010 2300 Sunseeker and have never heard it moving. I will have to check and see what stops it from moving.
