Dinnette Storage

The storage under the dinette booths was only accessible by lifting up the cushions and plywood. So I removed the wood paneling which opened up access from inboard.

We also purchased Rubbermaid type tubs for each child's clothes. Those tubs will be in the dinette booths, which we can now easily access!

I don't consider myself much of a handy person, but these trailer mods are sure fun and becoming addicting! It's also inspired me to start fixing the little things in my 10 year old house!

Good stuff.

Trying to attach the photo...

The black baskets were my wife's idea to make it look nice.

great idea, ....we like doing a mod and then look forward to the next trip to see how that one makes our time in the trailer more enjoyable,.....I think you will find that one mod leads to another, after every trip we have always returned with something else that we want to add, tweak or modify, .....sometimes lots of work, sometimes not, but we enjoy every minute of it................happy trailering

I like this - I had not done it yet because I was waiting to order doors from Forest River...but since I haven't ordered them yet and I'm leaving for a 10 day camping trip next week - this looks easy and completely doable with some nice storage bins. I can't stand having to lift the seats, especially with the back cushions (my dinette is a semi-circle) in the way. Not even sure if dinette storage doors will be required after seeing your picture.

mbCik - That looks really nice. You're right though, mods are addicting.

I did the same MbCik, for I hated raising those cushions and the plywood. I decided to put an electric fireplace in the bottom of the useless area in the entertainment center. I took the doors that were there and cut them down to fit the end of the bench seats and added roll out containers.

You can always find some matching /contrasting material and just hang a curtain/cover from a rod over the openings.
