Post Electric Tongue Jacks

So I am going to look at putting a Electric Tongue Jack. I have been looking and see weight ratings. I see where they lift 3500lb and so on. My question do i have to buy on that is rated at my trailers weight or do i buy off my tongue weight or a combination of both?

Just remember that in most cases you will also be using the jack to raise the rear of the truck to assist with connecting and disconnecting the WD system. Of course this won't apply if you don't use a WD system.

3500 lb should be plenty.

Here is a great deal I think. They didn't have any refurb ones when I bought mine so I wasn't as lucky.

Ultra Fab Rebuilt Model 4000 Electric Power Tongue Jack 2 1 4" Post 4 000 Lb | eBay
