Fantastic Fan upgrade

The Fantastic Fan I ordered as an option on my new Georgetown does not have a rain sensor or reverse switch. I am considering ordering an upgrade kit for $140 from Camping World that will add all that plus a remote control. I am not particularly mechanically inclined, but I have tools and can make simple repairs. Has anyone installed the upgrade kit, and how much work is entailed? Can the upgrade affect the warranty on the original fan?

I have not installed this kit, but I referenced their website to look at it for my own power fan and while I was there, I ran into a copy of the install instructions. Here's the link (doesn't appear to be too difficult):

I added the upgrade . It is quite simple. If you have trouble you can call the factory. They will walk you through it.
