fireplace

Just installed my electric fireplace in my Wildcat. It is under the entertainment center in my 29RLBS. Was an easy job considering the was nothing behind the wood panel that was there.

Our LaCrosse 301RLS came with a fireplace and we love it. Sitting in the lazyboy with a beverage and warmth of the fireplace, it doesn't get any better. Just connect it to a circuit that has a low load on it. Our circuit breaker trips when we make coffee and use the microwave with the fireplace on.

Funny how these things are wired differently - our 2012 Silverback came with it installed. You drop a little panel in front and chose the heater mode or the atmosphere mode which is simply dancing flames shown on the screen. No need to not using the microwave or any other appliance with the heater on.

The heater mode saved us this past April when we were in Upstate NY and our propane ran out. Kept us cozy until I got the tanks serviced.

I love the fireplace in mine....over labor day in the mountains it was mid 40's at night, and all we needed to keep whole trailer warm was the little heater......matter of fact i had to turn it down as it got too warm.....sure beats using propane to knock the chill off !

This should work great!! It has 2 settings...750 and 1500 watts. Also use the flames without have the heat. The flames also turn down to almost nothing or up to really high.And...it's quiet!! I bought it from Home Depot...was approx.$200.00 and I used just the firebox itself...but it came with all the surrounding panels/bottom and mantel. I knew what size I needed and browsed everything till I found one with the right size firebox. I can plug it in to the 5ver circuit or to the 15/20 amp pedestal at a campground.
Will try to post a pic today.
