Firestone Ride-Rite Airbags
Decided to join the "Bagger" club!
Bought me a set from sdtrucksprings.com for $287 includes free shipping, ordered on a Sunday, sitting at my door on Tuesday morning...great service.
Inspected all parts, very good build quality to them...can't wait until install & give them a run

Ragin,
Very interested in how this goes for you. Interested in ease of install and how much difference you notice once they are on. Since we have the same 5'er

I love them on my truck. The install is a BREEZE, I did mine in no time on the ground in front of our condo.
I also did the on board compressor recently, it is nice as well

You will love them Ragin! They are one of the best things that I have ever done to my truck, and thats saying something being how much I have done to it. But when installed with an air system they are GREAT!! (I have the AirLift Quickshot) Atleast on my F150 the install was a breeze, if I remember right the instructions say 2.5hrs for the install and that it works best on jack stands or with a lift. With me not wanting to wait, I did it in less than 1.5hrs with the truck sitting on all fours. The hardest part is figuring where to route lines and where to mount the schrader valves.

I put them on my 2008 just to level the truck. Even though it would only squat 1.5 inches, it was enough to make oncoming traffic think my bright lights were on.

I have been running the RideRites for about 10 years now and I would not be without them.

I bought them for this sole reason, to level the stance. I have the front end lifted to give the truck a level appearance when running unloaded.
If I had kept the stock front end height, the truck would sit level with 5'ver attached but that look just ain't cool when running around unloaded...LOL
I'm anxious to see the difference in ride comfort with the bags.

I was close to giving the Timbrens a try but for just a tad more $, I like the control of setting my height vs living with what the Timbrens might/might not do for me.
I've read a lot of people being happy with the Timbrens though

I thought the same thing too. I called Etrailer customer support and the tech highly recommended the Timbrens. He assured me if I didn't like them they would exchange them for the Air bags. I had Airbags on my old Ram and I had to replace them twice under warranty due to the bags leaking at the seams. Maybe they were a bad run, I don't know. I have had the Timbrens for 3 yrs now with know issues.
Good luck with whatever you choose.

If you didn't get the onboard compressor, get it and you will like them even better.

I added the Firestone air bags about a month ago. I've made just a couple of short pulls since i installed them but like them so far. Wish I would have done the on board compressor at the same time but will probably have to wait until next spring for that mod. Too many mods, not enough cash.

Is the compressor really needed?
I put the bags on all 4 corners of our F250, aired them to 40psi, and just leave them that way.

Only have the bags on the rear and let them down to 5psi when not loaded which sure improves the ride. The compressor will automatically kick on if the bags drop below 5psi which happens when you hit a bump, etc.

You might want to slide some form of protection over the air line where it passes through the hole in the truck frame. Over time, the air line could rub through and create a leak.

Definitely, got to buy some wire loom to slip over the entire red line(s), didn't have enough at my work bench today

In my case, it's definitely a want more than a need. I only put the bags on the rear and have only pulled the rig a couple of times so I haven't found my "sweet spot" on psi yet. When not towing, I run them at 5 psi. More of a hassle than anything else to change the pressure. I might try running at 40 psi at all times to see how that works.
