Fresh air vents filter modify for pets

I,have modified our fresh air
intake vents to make it easier to service and use a 12×12 filter which you can buy at any hardware store. You have to purchase the vent cover from a heating and cooling company. You can't get them at a big box store . Remove the old filter cover and measure and mark the area, use a dry wall saw and a drywall knife to cut the opening. Allow 1/4 more area for the frame to fit. Use 1/2 × 1 wood for frame and to attach it on 1 side. Make it longer than the intended opening. Use the old screws and attach the frame to ceiling. Use smaller / shorter pieces to make the duct and inside frame to increase air flow. Install filter and cover. Use care when cutting ceiling. You don't want to make a mistake. You will have larger intake area and filter area. Easy access and clean /replace the filters. I replaced all 4. I have 3 cats. Which generates a lot of fur. Hope this helps someone. 😊

I have been wondering how to fix the dust issue in our RV. Nice photos. Thanks!

Make sure that your vent opening of the cover is in a direction if the cover drops it will be pushed back up,when the slides open. Or you can secure the cover with a sheet metal screw. If the clasps become loose. Glad you like this. I hope that this helps anyone interested.
