Frig Fans working great

I just tested the installation of the Frig fans I added to my rig. My cost was $28 for the fans 2small 2large. $4.00 self leveling chalk about $1.00 worth of sheet metal and about about $1.00 for connectors, adjustable snap disc thermostat $15.00 so total around $49.00 My time was free.

I tested them today after running the frig for 24 hours and with the inside and outside fans running with the outside air temp at 93* the frig on the second setting (three is the coolest) it was maintaining 28* (without any food in the box) so I'm really pleased at how this project turned out.

the large chimney fans are slow turning high volume 1600 rpm so no noise the inside fans are small and turn faster and make about the same amount of noise my battery powered cool can made.

Looks good. Did you have cooling problems? The fridge in our 2504s seems to work fine. I have thought about adding fans to boost cooling, but if it seems to work, I have been slow to do so. Which do you think would help the most inside or outside? Jay

My frig worked OK I just wanted it to work better without the battery operated cool-can in the frig. On my class A I added just one fan in the chimney and a cool-can in the frig it made a big difference when camping in the desert. This mod to my TT was a big improvement, my frig never got down to 28* on the coolest setting normally around 34 to 40.

Can you elaborate a bit on the parts and where you purchased them?

We have our toy hauler at a RV resort year round and can't run the air conditioner when we are not there, but our fridge is full all the time.

I have heard it is hard for the refrigerators to cool down when it is 125+ degrees inside the camper.

Thanks,

Mike

The in to make the inside mount I had as well as the wire and connections. I bought the large fans off Amazon and the snap disc off Ebay, I also got the small fans off ebay. for the chimney fans were chosen for their slow speed and large volume of air movement, the small fans for size and noise level. Boy that is really getting hot inside your rig do you leave some vents open to circulate air
