gutter covers

Just got done putting my winter cover on and I remember the gutter guards were little bags to cover them which didn't work very well the cover was starting to wear. This year I found a much better guard. They slide on the gutters and have a clip inside to keep them in place.

I have always cut a slit in a tennis ball and slid it over the end of the gutter. Has worked great for years.

I cut a piece off the end of a foam pool noodle and slide it on. Seems to work great and the whole noodle cost me $1.

X2 on the pool noodle. Used them on the edge of the solar panels, had two pieces 6” left which became 3” pieces for the gutter spouts.

That being said, I really like what you found!

Trying a version of the pool noodle only using foam pipe insulation slipped on the gutter and folded over onto itself, then taped with duct tape...it;s what I had....

Mine all fell off after one breezy day. Not sure how I’ll keep them on.

4 foam rubber balls at dollar store. 4 bucks. Cut an X into them and slid on, the foam rubber clings to the spouts and does not fall off.

Has anyone had the rain gutter spout snap off after putting whatever guard on them when putting a cover over entire camper? My spouts are very noticeable where they are under the cover. I've tightened the straps to make it snug, but have plenty of wind at my house. Don't want it to flap and snap them off. My thought was that the pool noodle gave support under spout so it won't bend down under pressure from the cover.

Just thinking out loud. any feedback?

My cover has straps at each end, and then several underbelly straps, so not much billowing. The ball at end of gutter has never caused any problems.
