Haloview BT7 Installation - Furrion OEM Bracket I

I recently installed the Haloview Byte Tango (BT7) and wanted to share my experience. I couldn’t find any posts that required no modification or removal of the 2024 furrion OEM bracket so I thought this might be helpful to someone else. I used the B-F02 adapter that Haloview sells, and it worked perfectly. This wasn't available on Amazon so I ended up buying both direct. I was surprised the shipping was quick even though it came from overseas.

There was a small hole left in the bracket where the Furrion antenna would go that I noticed could potentially allow water to get behind the camera. While it would drain, likely slowly, I didn’t like the thought of it. To prevent this, I filled the hole with silicone, which worked great to seal it up and keep the back of the camera dry. I included pics of everything as I went through. I wish I would've used white sealant, but I'll get that changed at a later time.

Overall, I'm very satisfied with the setup and the quality of the Haloview system. If anyone has any questions about the installation process of the camera, feel free to ask! Excited to take it on our first trip this weekend and see how it performs on the road.

Edit: Sorry the pictures are sideways, new to this forum and not sure how to rotate them.

Nice install and post...

if ... you use it as a highway observation camera and the picture breaks up or stalls a lot
Haloview offer a antenna extension with a cable so you can get better signal
especially good if your RV is long

Keep a close eye on the Furrion mount ... mine broke while I tried to attach my camera
if it does you can discard it and use a standard mount for your camers

Nice job. I just found it easier to ditch the Furrion bracket, and I'm not thrilled with that overpriced RV gear company, so was even more happy to toss it. I found that the Furrion adaptor bracket that Haloview provided matched holes perfectly. Haloview must have US footprint, because I got my stuff fast too when I ordered 6 years ago. Very happy with it, zero connectivity issues even with monitor antenna folded down while it is mounted to my rearview mirror. My camper is only 20' long.

I am very happy with my BT7 also. I had to cut and splice the wires because of the excessive amount of wire which wouldn't stuff into the back of the camera or back into the RV hole. I used "solder Seal Connectors" which I highly recommend.

Like Chris, I got completely rid of the old Furrion. I love the high quality of the camera. On my first trip I got use to the approximate 4-1 ratio of the image to the image through a rear view mirror. Wouldn't it be great if someone came up with a design where the camera image was exactly the same size as the rear view mirror? It doesn't seem like it would be that hard to do.

To the OP, thanks for the informative post!
