HELP! Fathers day gift: Electric tongue jack

I'm on my 2nd Barker VIP jack. The first one, i let go with my old travel trailer, because the new one I purchased already had an electric jack. Well, that OEM jack lasted 1 season and locked up. The day we were loading up to leave, the following season, i couldn't get the jack to move. I ended up making a quick trip to the rv store and getting another Barker. It has been working like new for the past 4 years now, and its maintenance free.

So tell me WmTire, how long should I expect my brand new, week old replacement from the factory for the one that came new on the trailer, the DAY BEFORE the day before with an obvious flaw---- OE LCI to last? I will be handled with care. Most of my tools and toys last along time just from being handled caringly ?

Our old ATWOOD lasted years and was still like new when we sold the TH.

I wish I could answer that question for you, but it could last anywhere from now to whenever. Too many variables come into play...how often do you use it, is there a manufacturing defect, is it covered to keep out water, how much strain do you put on it, etc etc.
