Poor engineering. Putting tank vent that close to fresh air vent. I can see odors coming in under certain conditions.

WOW, that is really poor engineering/design. I would be rather upset to have my fresh air vent and a tank/stool vent pipe within inches of each other. What were they thinking? Obviously---they WEREN'T!

Don't see anyway around this problem it would be a major job to move. Maybe contact FR and see what they say about this maybe they will do something for you?

Yes,remove the vent cap and install coupling on pipe now install Vent Cover and locate where you are going to Drill/Cut the hole for the Pipe that is going to slip into the coupling! Now remove vent cover and Drill/Cut hole, replace cover and install short piece of vent pipe to clear the outside of cover and place a New push on type vent Cap! The New vent Cover can still be removed just pull the vent Cap off and Lift straight Up! You can caulk around the Pipe where it exits the Cover if you like but the way the lid slopes water should not enter the trailer! PS if you use caulk do a Better job than the person who caulked the Roof Vent! Youroo!!

Also you should look at MaxAir II covers or the Newer MaxAir covers they are Longer (Front to Back) and Might give you more to work with? The cover displayed seems to be a Short Cover? Youroo!!

I would contact FR. My trailer is not set up like that at all. I used a MaxxAir cover, but didn't have to contend with the vent.

I would leave well enough alone rather than giving yourself a bunch of grief right away.
If it turns out that you do get sewer odors because of the vent location then you can take action.
Life is short, go RVing.

Not to worried about any possibility of sewer odor yet. I really just want to put a cover on my the only vent I have and that sewer vent is in the way. I can't put a longer cover on because I don't want the sewer cap under there too...hmmmm

It's funny we have the same year and model and my vent is nowhere near your vent. You would think there would be some consistency in builds. The only difference I can think of is the sunlight over the shower, do you have one?

I agree - I would contact Forest River and alert them to the DUMB idea of having a sewer vent right next to your fresh air vent

I have not a skylight over the shower. I can confirm that this unit was built in October of 2015. I still have to take pics of the staples that look like they are trying to poke through the roof....

Altho I'd probably extend the vent pipe a bit.
