How to shorten screen door?

Hello. I found a set of MorRyde steps on a local classified, and picked them up. They installed very easily, and fit perfect. My entry door is fine, but my screen door needs some modification to close properly. Basically, I need to shorten the door 1/4” or so. I just removed the screen door so I didn’t wreck anything, but it is mid 70s here and the Mrs is not so patiently waiting for me to get this figured out. I have basic hand tools, but no miter saw or Dremel.

I am in Yuma, so if it comes down to it I could take it to one of the RV places here, but I’m guessing that would come with a significant fee.

Thanks for any insight, let me know if I didn’t explain something very well.

Cheers

forget the rv shop and go to a local mom and pop hardware store that does window screen repair. I would guess they could shorten it without a huge expense.

Good suggestion. Found a place that does screen repair, and dropped it off.

Just to follow up:

I took it to Yuma Screen, and for $20 it came back in better shape than I brought it, and it fits the doorway perfectly!

Being a 5yr old door, and having two Labs, there were some parts of the screen that were lifting away from the frame. All is right and taut now!

If you don't mind me asking ,did they actually trim off the bottom?
