iRV68

Hello from Switzerland,
We do enjoy our new FRSuperlite classic rv , unfortunately the iRV68 and the Toshiba TV are not compatible with Europe. When we ordered the rv we thought that during the production of it the company see it’s for Europe.and at least the dvd player would be set up to region code 2 - but ;-(

My question is if it is possible to replace the dvd unit build in into the irv68 with a blu-ray unit?

What specifications or units i have to look for?

Thanks

Welcome: Have no clue as to your question on the blue-Ray. But do they ship you unit in a container or just on the deck of a ship ?? Just curious as what the cost of shipping is ?? Interesting program.

Well, If I remember correctly I was told a container ... The shipping cost question: I would be able to buy a second unit for that money in the US ;-)

Still hope somebody knows something about my question ;-) anyway, it’s 10:30 pm , time for tv and relaxing;-)

Have a good time

Markus

I just pulled mine apart to pull out a DVD that was stuck in the IRV68 DVD player unit. The actual DVD player is a "FORYOU DL-31, PN DL32CA0051. I'm guessing its a PRC unit and I do not believe you will find a plug/play compatible DVD unit replacement let alone one that would support Blue-Ray. I doubt the unit could handle the resolution regardless since the mechanical part is only half of the unit. There are three ribbon cables that connect the DVD player to it's PCB board. Who knows what the pinout of those cables is. You'd need the full schematic.
