issue installing backup camera on 2002 coachmen mirada 330ds - one wire reverse light

hello!

i know coachmen is a part of forest river so i am seeing if someone can help me out here.

i have a 2002 coachmen mirada im trying to install a rear view camera on, however when i pull out the reverse light socket, i see it only has one wire (Greenish yellow) instead of a positive and negative.

any idea where i can get a proper ground wire and positive wire to properly connect my backup camera to? I don't mind if it runs while the marker and tail lights are on if thats the only option. im just looking for options at this point period!

That's hard to say without seeing the fixture. The backup bulb has to have a power lead and it has to have a ground somewhere. Just floating a guess here is that the fixture has a common ground built into the fixture. What I would do is probe that wire for power and if it has it tap that wire. Then I would create a separate ground for the camera on the frame or find another ground wire somewhere else and tap that.
