Wish you were closer. We'd ice down the brew and get them done. Guess I need to open up the switch panel and see how much room I have. Guess we could mount it in the cabinet behind the panel if space were an issue. Don't know how it'd affect reception of remote though.

Can someone please post a simpler illustration showing how you wire the double pole double throw switch? I am a beginner at this electrical stuff.

Herk7769 should have a diagram.
Hopefully he'll post it up.

There are six connections on the back of a DPDT switch. The midde two are "the load".
The "throw" connects the "common" pin to the pin opposite the throw.
This harder to explain than it should be. The one set of three in a row pins switch the "black" wire and the other set of three switch the "red" wire for each throw of the switch.
If you still have trouble, a test light will show you how the sitch works.

So then the awning wires connect to the center posts of the switch? Am I correct?

Yes.
Make sure the two motor wires go to the two middle pins and the campers oem wires go to one side and the remote feeds go to the other.
It took an hour to upload 2 posts.
Fayetteville Koa has free Internet and they are upgrading their service.
They said it will rock by next month.
We shall see.

Thanks,
One last question. I know this is a thread that has been going for some time. Where can I buy a remote control unit?
