Use to crank all jacks with an 18 v drill but with the heavier trailer it wouldn't cut it to jack it up to get the trailer off the hitch. Upgraded to a corded 1/2 inch low speed high torque drill. This beast will make the tongue jack work with this mod. And will be even better when I hook up an inverter off the battery to run it.

By the way not raising off ground, just touch down for the stabilizers. The hitch jack on my old trailer worked with the 18 v drill, but this trailer is 2000 lbs heavier and it just wouldn't cut it so I tried a 20 v and it wasn't enough, impact gun was too much broke roll pin in the jack.

Kept looking at our slide and it appeared to have a slight sag in the middle so decided to give it a little boost in the middle using one of those slide locks for a post. Slide looked a lot better and when I tried to put in seemed to work smoother. Well went out to the shop today and started turning a post to go in permanently. Will post pic when I finish.

Just make sure when you do it if slide gets hold of it putting it in or out will suck it into slide or rip off wall. Fasten it so it doesn't touch inside seal when slide is out. Also make sure there are no sags in lights so when you put them out doesn't get drawn out with the roof of slide.

My favorite is the Front jack makes my life so much easier but like this one for looks, going to be doing similar under the awning with the blue lights. Saw them at a local Rv show and they must be the new thing this year .

Don't know but when I went to the local RV show that's what all the new ones had. So the bugs will have a lot to choose from.

Jack Antenna installed getting better reception but found wing antenna had water in it and that was probably the problem.

Wouldn't it be better to replace the tongue jack with an electric one? That was one of my first "mods".

Your electric tongue jack cost $200 to $300 mine took me 5 min to make and cost me less than a dollar and I use the drill to put down all the stabilizer jacks anyway.
