Lighted Switches Removal??

We just got a new Vengeance 29V. We love it except for 1 thing. ALL the light switches are illuminated in this blue retinal burning while you sleep mode. The one in the bed area is an easy fix, we just hang a jacket over it on a handy command hook. To the right of the bed on an overhead cabinet is a main switch bay with 6 of the little eye burners and it shines right in over the bed. Has anyone done a crafty little cover for them? I am thinking the easiest fix would be 2 hooks and a little fabric cover but wanted to see what sort of awesome ideas you folks have.

Every single switch in the camper is illuminated ALL the time. all the lights have wall switches and those are the illuminated ones . It is supposed to make it easier to find the switches in the dark but they are brighter than a kids night light

A black Marks A Lot or paint will remedy the problem or take the switch out and clip the wire to the bulb.

You should be able to get un-lighted switches just like your lighted ones.
I found switches just like ours at Ace Hardware.
Or like Old Coot said
Pull one out and you might be able to cut the LED, just cut one wire.

I too was tired of the annoying blue light while trying to sleep...... So I did something about it! I'm a journeyman electrician so knowing what I was looking for certainly made it easier to do this mod.

If you remove the four screws holding the panel in place it will fall into your hands with a mess of wire, on the back of the switches you'll see a white (in my case) wire jumpering between all the lit switches a well as the tank level gauge and then ending in a splice that has a number of wires spliced together. If you pull off the white wire stake-ons on the switches that will remove the chassis ground point on the switch preventing it from lighting and a nice nights sleep. You can either leave the stake-on and splice together (maybe wrap some electrical tape on it, or do like I did and cut them off and splice them using either a B-2000 (what you can see in my pics) or a #29 marrette. I only disconnected the water pump and got water tank switches as we usually leave them on but kept the outside light and tank heaters connected so we don't forget to turn them off.
