Missing bump stops?
I have a 2019 Cherokee Wolf Pup 16BHS. I noticed after bringing it home from the dealer, and before going out on my first trip, that the frame above the axle showed signs of rubbing against the axle. This rubbing occurred on both sides of the trailer, while the trailer was unloaded (except for a few gallons of fresh water).
I have included three photos to help show this: the first simply shows the leaf spring setup, which is of the under-axle mount variety. The second shows the clearance between the axle and frame, which is 2.25” (not much!). The third is a better view of the frame where the rubbing occurs, and it looks like there was something stuck there (a rubber pad?) to act as some sort of bump stop. Both sides of the trailer on the frame above the axles look like this.
Question: Is there supposed to be something protecting the frame and axle from direct contact? I’m wondering if I should buy a bump stop like the Timbren found here:

Or is there something simpler I could do?
